Bounce Back Headshots

Headshots. What’s in a headshot? Why have a headshot?

Your headshot is your digital handshake. Your headshot is you saying ‘hello’ to people you’ve never met. Your headshot is you.

Many people eschew the headshot but for different reasons. The most common is undervaluing its significance. Hating being photographed is up there. No time, no money, no need, too corporate are common replies.

The result tends to be that either they don’t use a headshot or one which isn’t really right for their business image. It might be a good photo and they might look great but that doesn’t always marry with the right image for their business brand.

Personal Branding is very much the fulcrum for your identity and although it extends beyond photography, the photo images you display offer an online framework for who you are, for your clients and customers.

The headshot, your headshot, is your starting point and although it’s something which should be updated quite regularly it is for many people the first step into creating an image brand.

There is a disctinction between the headshot and a portrait. A portrait is more, it expands your story and often uses environment to build a narrative for your visual message. This is where we move to Personal Branding photography but you have to start somewhere and the headshot is usually the inaugural photoshoot.

This year people are starting to emerge from the oppression of Covid restrictions and businesses and people are looking to their online images. Here are some new headshots from this year so far.
